Maarten Jamin challenges conventional co-working norms. Leveraging his diverse experience in retail and workplace design, he took a deep dive into the ever-changing co-working landscape. His keynote focused on the benefits and future of co-working. For him, the ‘Co-’ stands for much more than just collaboration, leading to new and significantly expanded forms of co-working.
To illustrate this, Maarten Jamin presented three very different types of co-working:
CORPORATE co-working, where companies move their headquarters to co-working spaces, with greater sustainability, flexibility and all-round appeal.
MULTI-TENANT co-working, where smaller office units or desks are rented to different companies or individuals, with shared meeting areas and services.
STAND-ALONE co-working spaces as a local offering.
He showed examples of how such stand-alone solutions can be combined into larger units with restaurants, shops, art and event spaces, etc., and which buildings are suitable for this.
