Sascha Lobo, born in 1975, lives in Berlin with his wife Jule Lobo and their three children Rio, Chilly and Lou. His main areas of interest are digitisation and artificial intelligence, on which he has been giving lectures since 2006. In the same year, he received the Grimme Online Award for his blog Riesenmaschine. In 2013 he graduated with a degree in social and business communication from the Berlin University of the Arts. Since January 2011, he has been writing a weekly column on spiegel.de, initially only on digital topics, but now on many big and small contemporary issues.
