An issue from two perspectives: Artificial intelligence (AI) is a hot topic in business and the job market. Developments such as ChatGPT and CoPilot are accelerating progress and changing the way we work and communicate. At the same time a high complexity and speed are shaping everyday life in most sectors of the economy. In a fascinating discussion, Andreas Loroch (VORSPRUNGatwork) and Thorsten Heilig (paretos) shed light on what this means for businesses. Hosted by Wolfram Sauer.
Technology expert Thorsten Heilig and organisational expert Andreas Loroch used examples to explain how AI can be used to make decisions. In most cases, the data needed for artificial intelligence to learn in an application-specific way and to take advantage of neural networks is available. The exciting task now is to close the gap between the technological possibilities and their application. 70 to 80 per cent of current management tasks could be eliminated. Companies will have to adapt their structures to the new conditions. Nevertheless, human skills and human learning will remain important. For example, strategic thinking and the ability to ask the right questions and identify opportunities will be in demand in the future.
