Where does public administration rank in terms of new working environments? Andreas Stieglbauer and Daniela Heine of Drees & Sommer sheded light on this exciting question in their presentation using the ‘City of Munich’ as an example. They focussed on the city’s future visions and strategies in the context of the modern working world and its clear goal of actively shaping the future and courageously changing in order to remain fit for the future. Key topics included attractiveness in the war of talent, strategies for identifying and motivating talent, strengthening proximity to citizens and transparency, process adjustments through digital change and the promotion of hybrid and location-independent working models. The public sector – something is happening!
