Human-Centric Lighting: The Key to Better Workplaces

The workplace of the future must offer more than just a desk – it must be a place where people genuinely want to come together. At a time when the office competes with the home office, employee well-being has become a critical factor for success. Lighting plays a central role in this equation: it influences our mood, motivation, concentration, and creativity far more than is often assumed.

This presentation explores why human-centric lighting should be considered a fundamental part of workplace design from the earliest concept stages. It highlights key aspects that are frequently underestimated throughout the planning, installation, commissioning, and long-term operational phases of lighting systems. The focus is on how lighting can contribute to better workplace experiences and outcomes, extending far beyond its purely visual function.
