From Style to Function: Designing People-centred Office Environments
Carina Hölzer looked at the evolution of office design and the challenges of the modern working world. She analysed current design trends and emphasised the importance of ergonomics and functionality beyond aesthetics. The focus is on people, taking into account individual needs and working styles to promote well-being and productivity.
Carina presented an analytical approach that defines four contrasting styles for modern office environments: Flow, Pure, Timeless and Vision. These styles help to combine individual work cultures and personal preferences. Flexibility and scalability are highlighted as key factors in creating adaptive working environments. Carina also talked about sustainability and health through eco-friendly materials and biophilic design.
