In her keynote speech, Viviane Mörmann, author of The Corporate Art Index, offered festival visitors a new perspective on art in a corporate context. Art has been used for centuries to accompany processes of change. Today, artists are increasingly designing working environments. Mörmann used examples such as murals, exhibitions, installations, workshops and awards to illustrate what this can look like.
The experienced curator showed that the positive impact of art can be measured in hard figures, citing examples from Deutsche Bank, Swiss Mobilar, Google and other companies that have used art to increase not only employee satisfaction, but also their creativity and productivity. The talk also covered what companies should look out for in order to achieve such success.
