Flexible working models that offer employees plenty of freedom to choose their working hours and workplace do not always lead to positive results in terms of employee satisfaction. This presentation will therefore examine the complex effects of flexible versus inflexible working models on employee satisfaction. Based on a recent study, this presentation examines the role of HR practices as a crucial resource that compensates for the disadvantages of flexible and inflexible working models. Using data from the employer rating platform Kununu, the presentation shows how this perspective is confirmed and what conclusions can be drawn for companies.
